Overview
Devil Fruits are rare consumables scattered around the world of Grand Piece Online that grant the eater superhuman abilities at the cost of their ability to swim. Functionally, finding and eating a Devil Fruit will give the consumer an entire new moveset and occasionally unique passives ranging from limited physical intangibility to a simple dash boost.
Devil Fruits can be sorted into three types and five rarities: Paramecia, Logia, Zoan, Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythical. Rarity affects drop rates, moveset size, and moveset versatility.
The removal of an already-eaten Devil Fruit must be facilitated by the use of a Dark Root. You cannot eat another fruit to replace one you already have consumed.
A random Devil Fruit will spawn under a random tree once every one to four hours. Other methods of obtainment, as well as their spawn mechanics, are detailed below.
Spawning Mechanics
Devil Fruits have a chance to spawn once every 1-4 hours after the server is started, and will despawn after 1 hour. The timer for the next fruit spawn will start once the Devil Fruit has been picked up or has despawned. For example:
- If a server is started at 10:00 AM, the fruit can spawn between 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
- If the player then picks up the spawned Devil Fruit at 1:00 PM, the next one can spawn between 2:00 PM -5:00 PM.
Chances & Rarities
- Common fruits have a 59.5% rate, making the odds 119/200
- Rare fruits have a 26% rate, making the odds 13/50
- Epic fruits have a 10% rate, making the rates 1/10
- Legendary fruits have a 4% rate, making the odds 1/25
- Mythical fruits have a 0.5% rate, making the odds 1/200
On 2x Logia Weekends (Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays), Legendary and Mythical fruits have double the drop and spawn-rates, bumping them up to 8% and 1% rate respectively.
- Common fruits have a 54% rate, making the odds 27/50
- Rare fruits have a 26% rate, making the odds 13/50
- Epic fruits have a 10%, making the odds 1/10
- Legendary fruits have a 8% rate, making the odds 1/12.5.
- Mythical fruits have a 1% rate, making the odds 1/100.
In addition, possessing the All Seeing Eye during 2x Logia Weekends causes Legendary and Mythical fruits to have quadruple the drop rates. However, this does not apply to fruits spawning. These drop rates only apply to methods that add a devil fruit directly into your inventory, like Ship Farming, Dungeons, and Kraken Farming.
- Common fruits have a 44% rate, making the odds 11/25
- Rare fruits have a 26% rate, making the odds 13/20
- Epic fruits have a 10% rate, making the odds 1/10.
- Legendary fruits have a 16% rate, making the odds 4/25
- Mythical fruits have a 2% rate, making the odds 1/50.
For user convenience, below is an organized table for the drop chances of each fruit.
All-Seeing Eye + 2x Logia | All-Seeing Eye or Logia 2x | Basic/None | |
---|---|---|---|
Common | 44% | 54% | 59.9% |
Rare | 26% | 26% | 26% |
Epic | 10% | 10% | 10% |
Legendary | 16% | 8% | 4% |
Mythical | 2% | 1% | 0.5% |
Alternate Obtainment Methods
- Battle Royale, a gamemode accessible from the Universal Hub. Players drop on an island with various locations to loot, fight, and survive, sometimes all of that at once. There are three different variations of it: Solos, Duos and Squads. The first will always give the player a Legendary Fruit Chest upon victory; the other two will give a Rare Fruit Chest upon winning and a Legendary Fruit Chest if the winner was the MVP in their squad.
- If you don't have access to a private server this is the best way to get Legendary and Mythical fruits.
- Battle Pass, a trail of free rewards that range from Dark Roots, SP Reset Essences to Rare Fruit Chests and Legendary Fruit Chests.
- Since playing Battle Royale will progress the Battle Pass, it can also be considered a "bonus reward" from playing the gamemode.
- Ship farming, in which the player destroys NPC Marine and pirate ships that are sometimes called towards their location. Defeating the captain of the ship (the one driving the ship) has a chance of giving you a devil fruit. The chances are very low, standing at a 2% drop rate from Caravels, and a 1% drop rate from Galleons. However, ships will spawn practically one after the other if you have a high bounty, and if you have a powerful devil fruit like Bomb or fighting styles like Fishman Karate, you can very easily take out ships in mere seconds, so this is quite effective.
- The actual rarities of the fruit rates from ship farming are doubted by many, however, there used to be a Discord server which did their own "ship analysis", which consists of them sharing every single one of their "ship farming" drops. Interpretation of this info is up to the individual player. You may access this info at this server.
- Dungeons, a wave-based gamemode that has the player survive against enemy hordes of increasing difficulty, with a boss battle every 5 waves. It is required for the player(s) to get to a minimum of wave 25 in order to get a fruit. Devil Fruits are awarded to the MVP of the dungeon.
- Reaching Wave 50 or higher in a dungeon will guarantee the player at least a Rare or above fruit and grant every player one upon completion.
- Sea Serpents or Krakens can also be defeated for Devil Fruits, both of which have a 3% chance to drop a fruit.
- Karoo Racing, in where you win in a Karoo Race. The chances are lower than Ship farming, being at a 0.1% drop rate from winning.
- The rates of Karoo Racing makes this method one of the worst methods in the game. Not only that, but the devil fruit you get is still randomized, so you could end up getting a common fruit.
- The Factory located in the Rose Kingdom, Top 3 get a RARE+ fruit with a 2X chance of being a legendary.
- Everyone else who did at least 5% dmg gets a random fruit.
- If you have access to a private server, alternating between the Colosseum Raid and the Factory is the best way to get Legendary and Mythical fruits.
== = *The Colosseum Raid, a Rose Kingdom hourly event, same as Factory Top 3 get a RARE+ fruit with a 2X chance of being a legendary and everyone else who did at least 5% dmg gets a random fruit.
- If you have access to a private server, alternating between the Colosseum Raid and the Factory is the best way to get Legendary and Mythical fruits.
Removed Obtainment Methods
- The Gift of Fruit was an item obtainable during the Christmas 2021 Event that had a 5% chance to drop from the Krampus boss. It gave the player a random Devil Fruit upon opening, making the item a predecessor of sorts to the modern Fruit Chests.
- The Cupid's Dungeon added in the Valentine's Event gave the MVP of the dungeon a random Devil Fruit upon conclusion.
