The Kraken Core is a Legendary item with a 1% drop chance from the Kraken which can only spawn at the Second Sea's Rough Waters. It is an unlimited-use item with a 1 hour cooldown (Please be clear to everyone that leaving the game does not cancel the cooldown).
It allows the user to summon a Kraken to their command in their vicinity. Its health scales similarly to the Sea Serpent's Core, with a base of 1,000 HP + the player's level. However, it slowly decreases at a rate of 1 HP per second.
The level requirement to trade it is 400+.
Pros[]
- Very useful for Ship Farming.
- Does decent damage on hit.
- Has an extremely large AoE. The moves will hit people very far away even if they are nowhere near the Kraken.
Cons[]
- Compared to the boss you have to kill to obtain this, the Kraken Core spawns krakens with a lot less HP. They also lose a small bit of HP per second.
- You can only spawn 1 kraken per hour.
- Despawns after a short while if no target is acquired.
- There is a glitch where the spawned Kraken simply goes beneath the water and despawns, regardless of HP or enemies present. If you try to click the kraken core again, it will show the one-hour cooldown message at the top of the screen, as if the kraken was killed.
- When a kraken needs to move closer to it's enemy, it spends a LOT of time going underwater and reappearing nearby the enemy. Against moving targets, the Kraken will have much trouble.
Trivia[]
- The Azure Variant of the Kraken Drops are considered to be rarer than the Kraken Core (i.e. Azure Kraken Armor Set), as an Azure Kraken spawn rate is very low regardless of the amount of bounty you own.
