The Megalodon is a Sea Beast that spawns in Rough Waters south of Desert Kingdom when 1–2 bottles of Shark Blood is poured in. It appears to be a large armored shark with a "beard" of jagged spikes and large, tusk-like teeth on its bottom jawline.

The easiest way to kill the Megalodon[]
This method can be done solo or in a group All you need is a fruitless human/fishman build (fishman recommended for the water breathing) A recommended stat spread is 925 Strength and 800 Defense, nothing else. Next all you need to do is remember this pattern, M1 M1 M1 Block, M1 M1 Block. You can safely get up to 3 M1's in between Light Bites, once the shark uses Heavy Bite then you can hit up to 4 M1's before resuming the combo. Continue this pattern until the Megalodon is defeated.
Another method can be used to fight the Megalodon using the same stats above. You can use Fishman M1s or Knight's Gauntlets. Go underwater when the Megalodon attacks you, make sure you're not too close to the surface. Then, do M1 M1 block M1 M1 block. It's nearly impossible to die using this method. When he uses Heavy Bite, simply resume the combo. It's okay if you take a few hits.
Yet another good method is to Geppo high above the Megalodon(in order to avoid its Tail Swat) and spam moves from there. As long as you have enough stamina, you should be able to kill the Megalodon before you run out.
For another method, the Megalodon can be lured near an island. As he will never approach, you can attack him from beyond his reach.

- The Megalodon is a decent replacement for kraken farming if you don't have any bounty as all you need is 1-2 Bottles of Shark Blood.
- The Megalodon will actively avoid going near islands, likely as an attempt by the developers to prevent farming them like krakens and removing the risk of the fight.
- The Heavy Bite move is capable of rarely missing the player and instead hitting normal sharks if you fight the Megalodon underwater as a fishman.
- This is the first Sea Beast to not directly drop its armor set/weapon instead dropping their respective blueprints.
- Megalodon used to have 20000 Health before Hp scaling came and gets 3000 more health each time a other player attacks him.
- You can spawn Megalodon in 1st sea in rough water as long you have Shark Blood bottles.
