Musashi is a Second Sea NPC and boss who serves as the trainer for 2 Sword Style. He can be found on Sashi Island.
If the player has fully unlocked 1 Sword Style, he will spar with the player for 10000 . His 2 Sword Style training consists of 5 boss fights of increasing difficulty, with him using more of 2 Sword Style's moveset and increasing in damage output as the player progresses through the fighting style.
Defeating him gives you a Book of Nitoryu, which the player must read to learn the move. The move the player will learn is described in a manga-style short story of Musashi defeating various opponents with said move. As long as you don't read the Book of Nitoryu once, he can be challenged endlessly.
Moveset
Unlocked During | Move | Description |
---|---|---|
1st Fight | 72 Pound Phoenix | A powerful mid-ranged swirl of compressed air. |
2nd Fight | Raging Whirl | Musashi spins vertically like a whirl at insane speeds and deals 28 hits. It has no startup time, being very hard to avoid. |
3rd Fight | Tower Climb | A counter which launches the player skyward upon hitting Musashi. Can be easily avoided with fast enough reflexes. |
4th Fight | Nitoryu Strike | Musashi charges into the player and performs a giant cone-shaped AoE two-bladed vertical slash. |
4th and 5th Fight | Rashomon Draw | The boss dashes and deals a giant cross-cut on the ground, slashing the player in two directions simultaneously. If this move is used on a killing blow, it will play a execution cutscene. |
Tips & Tactics
- Musashi tends to spin into the air when using Raging Whirl, making it easy to avoid.
- You can trap Musashi inside his house, making the fight much easier. He can glitch out occasionally, so stay far enough away for him not to use Rashomon Draw or Nitoryu Strike.
- Paw is an amazing fruit to use for his fights, as you can place a Rendezvous Paw at the middle section of the roof, and keep teleporting back then hold block to regen all your health, place the Paw again then rinse and repeat until he's defeated.
- The Mero Mero no Mi's moves are currently extremely buggy with Musashi at the moment.
- Nitoryu Strike and Rashomon Draw can go through the walls of his house.
- Musashi last stage is extremely difficult and will become harder in the future update sourced from leaks[citation needed]

Trivia
- Musashi might have drawn inspiration from Miyamoto Musashi, a famous swordsman, philosopher, and writer; notably, he is also the founder of the "Niten Ichi-ryū" style of swordsmanship, which focuses on wielding two blades in battle.
- During your 4th fight with Musashi (presuming if you read the books), he will have both Nitoryu Strike and Rashomon Draw. You only learn Nitoryu Strike though.
- Two Sword Style used to cost 25,000
per fight.
